Insulated Glass Unit

Insulated Glass Units consist of two glass window panes separated by a vacuum or gas filled space to reduce heat transfer.  Interstate glass offers an insulated glass replacement service in case the glass in your window or door breaks or fogs.

Tempered Glass

Tempered glass breaks down into smaller pieces that have less sharp edges. This is possible because during the annealing process the glass is cooled down slowly, which makes the glass much stronger, & impact / scratch resistant compared to non-treated glass.

Annealed Glass

Annealed Glass

Annealed glass is the most common glass used in windows. Annealing is a process of slowly cooling glass to relieve internal stresses after it is formed.

Low E Glass

Low E glass minimizes infrared and ultraviolet light that comes through the glass, without minimizing the amount of light that enters your home. Low E glass has a microscopic coating that keeps the temperature in your home consistent by reflecting the interior temperatures back inside.

Clear Glass

Low E Glass

Clear Glass

Clear glass allows the most amount of visible light to come through.  It does not offer UV protection, and does not block any heat caused by sunlight.
